How much do you love your local park?
This week is Love Parks Week and we’re delighted to be promoting #GoParksLondon a new campaign from the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) London and London Friends of Greenspaces Network (LFGN).
The campaign is encouraging people to visit parks, share why they love them and asking them to get involved with Park Friends groups.
#GoParksLondon is also highlighting the many fun, free events being hosted by Friends of Parks groups in Love Parks and National Park City Fortnight. These range from lunchtime concerts to butterfly surveys, community picnics, Asian dancing, litter picking and walking groups.
There is also a #GoParksLondon challenge competition. To take part, people need to visit a London park they haven’t been to before and post a picture of themselves on social media using the hashtag #GoParksLondon and tell people about the park for the chance to win a prize.
The campaign has had lots of local press coverage so far and was featured on London Live TV – to find our more, click here.
